Our Story

Indie Prov Boston is a female-led community focused learning ground for all things long form, alternative and countercultural.

Indie Prov Boston was inspired by a small group of long-form improv junkies. Classes are led by Boston-based professional comedy actors who are deep in the game, actively working in the entertainment industry and loving every minute of it. We celebrate the misfits, the rebels and those with co-workers who don’t know they’re taking improv comedy classes at night! Don’t worry, we got your back. Our classes aren’t for those looking to follow a script. ;)

Our philosophy centers around breaking the mold— nurturing, developing, and empowering the artist within, an approach that celebrates the qualities of the most successful and gifted artists we know and love today.
Indie Prov’s instructors blend raw talent with real-world tools to help you develop your skills and forge your own path with the heart and drive to create something real, anywhere.

You will find a variety of small on-going classes and intensives uniquely tailored for both curious beginners and more experienced actors in comedy, acting, and sketch performance. Whether you are aspiring for a career in comedy or just want to do this for fun, this is a great place to land!
Indie Prov Boston also offers one-on-one private coaching aimed at enhancing EQ and interpersonal skills related to improved professional-self and social wellness during a process such as an audition, an important meeting or a public speaking event.

Indie Prov Boston is committed to make learning comedy accessible and helps support every day people of all backgrounds discover the joys of improv, help their perceived limitations turn into superpowers and empower new and emerging comedic talent.

Indie Prov Boston is an inclusive female led collective that stands in harmony with its big brother counterparts in equal support of their mission.
